French and Gujarat-based automobile component suppliers to meet on 9th January

Taking ahead the Gujarat government’s efforts to boost the automobile and auto-components sector, the Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) along with the Automotive Components Manufacturing Association (ACMA), the French Vehicle Equipment Industries (FIEV) and the French auto-major Peugeot – who recently announced their entry into Gujarat for a manufacturing facility near Sanand – will be organizing a one-day seminar and business meetings at Mahatma Mandir on 9th January 2012. It is expected that about 60 French auto suppliers will be participating in these meetings to explore business opportunities with their Gujarat counterparts.
The chairperson of FIEV in India, M. Bernard Babo, will share insights on the French automobile sector and the effect in Gujarat and what opportunities the two regions can explore together. M. Frédéric Fabre, Managing Director, Peugeot India will, in particular, share the company’s plans for the Gujarat plant. Senior officials from the Government shall also be present to showcase the opportunities that Gujarat has to offer to the sector along with the Gujarat-based auto-component manufacturers.
The seminar and B2B meetings shall be held at the Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on 9th January 2012.
