Focusing on 38 seats in 8 cities, Gujarat Congress plans agitation programmes in July

It is well known that so far as elections are concerned, Gujarat Congress’s weakest ground is urban Gujarat, especially the cities under Municipal Corporations.
Therefore the party has decided to do extra efforts in specific 38 assembly seats that are located in municipal corporation areas.
In a meeting with Mayors, leaders of opposition, city presidents and leaders from eight cities across Gujarat, state party president Arjun Modhwadia said that 38 assembly seats in 8 municipal corporations are very important for party, and extreme hard work is needed to ensure victory over these seats.
Modhwadia directed partymen to hold ward wise meetings first and later assembly seat wise meetings. He also directed to hold SC, OBC, minority and women’s cell meetings in city areas. He directed partymen to hold agitation programmes like rallies, dharna, protests, submission of memorandums etc on local issues in first 15 days of July in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Gandhinagar.
Shaktisinh Gohil, Narhari Amin, Girish Parmar, Khurshid Saiyed, Ghanshyam Thakkar, Gandhinagar Mayor Mahendrasinh Rana, Junagadh Mayor Lakhabhai Parmar, Ahemdabad city party chief Pankaj Shah, leader of opposition in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Badruddin Sheikh etc were present in the meeting.
