Bhuj, 21 September 2012
While speaking at Bhuj in Kutch district of Gujarat in Swami Vivekananda Youth convention Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi slammed the centre over Assam, Bangladeshi intrusion and FDI issues.
“Few days back the Bangladeshis challenged our nation but the government in Delhi was silent. Interestingly the Prime Minister is elected from Assam,” Modi said.
“Another example: breaching the promise to the parliament they had given, suddenly they decided to invite FDI in retail,” Shri Modi said adding that this would increase unemployment in country.
“When I look at the events of Assam, atrocities by Bangladeshis and FDI decision and try to connect them, I wish to say that Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as government of the the people, by the people and for the people, but Dr. Manmohan Singh has redefined it as government of the foreigners, by the foreigners and for the foreigners. I am saying this with total responsibility and expressing my anger this way. I pray the youths of this nation that the nation should not be in such hands for long time. More minutes the nation stays with them, Swami Vivekananda’s dream will continue to be crushed,” he said.
