Speaking at Bharatiya Janata Party’s 33rd foundation day function at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel stadium, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi replied back to Rahul Gandhi’s recent remark that India is beehive.
“I was pained couple of days back when I heard one Congress leader’s speech. I was shocked to learn what these people think about our nation? Congress leader reflected Congress’s thinking that India is beehive! For them this nation could be behive, but for us this nation is our mother. This India is my mother,” Modi said.
“Don’t insult Bharat Mata. If you don’t know the language of people of India, then you should go and learn it from somewhere, but you just can’t destroy Indians’ culture and traditions,” he added.
“I don’t waste my time on any (such) leader’s speeches, because they don’t deserve attention, but when they hurt our feelings, we are pained, because for us it’s our mother for whom we have dedicated our life,” Modi further added.
It should be mentioned that Rahul Gandhi had compared India with beehive in his speech at CII function couple of days back. He said that generally India is known as elephant, but he thinks more appropriate is its comparison with beehive.
