The Gujarat Pollution Control Board(GPCB) has slapped closure notice to Ahmedabad district’s Moraiya based ZyduS Cadilla research center fun b y Cadilla Healthcare Limited.

According to GPCB officer VR Patel, a GPCB team visited the research center following complain received by local people. The company said they were using a closed bore-well for water harvesting. But when checked semples, it was found that TDS and COD proportion was very high. Following these findings, GPCB slapped closure notice to research center and also asked Electricity board to cut electricity supply.

It has to be noted that local people living next to the research center use underground water for daily usage.
