Vijay Rupani files nomination for Rajkot West assembly bypoll

Gujarat BJP General Secretary and former Rajya Sabha member Vijaybhai Rupani today filed nomination form as BJP candidate from Rajkot West assembly seat which has been vacated by Shri Vajubhai Vala following his appointment as Governor of Karnataka.
All leading faces of Rajkot BJP were present during Shri Vijay Rupani’s nomination. Rupani organized a rally which was attended by state BJP president RC Faldu, ministers Nitin Patel, Govind Patel, Vasuben Trivedi, MP Mohan Kundaria, local leaders Dhansukh Bhanderi, Gunubhai Delawala, Abhay Bhardwaj, city BJP chief Bhikhubhai, proposer Pushkarbhai Patel, dummy candidate Janak Kotak among others.
As per the afidavit doccument, Vijaybhai and his family jointly own cash/jewellery/deposits/funds/shares/properties worth Rs. 7,52,16,777. He has liability of Rs. 87,21,000. His year 2013-14 IT return was valued at Rs. 12.5 lakh, his wife’s Rs. 5.5 lakh. The family owns three cars and a two wheeler. Vijaybhai has six plots, four houses, a house in Gandhinagar. Vijaybhai has no case against him. He has completed BA,LLB during 1977-80.
Speaking to media persons, Shri Rupani said that he has no tension of winning the bypoll due to a dedicated, capable and committed team of party worker. He said the seat is like a fort of BJP and even Narendrabhai contested his first election from this place.He said he is aware about responsibility of such an important seat, and he will fulfill it successfully.
