Opening of Thaltej underpass, ground breaking of six-lane Bopal over bridge this Monday

The city of Ahmedabad will get a new underpass this Monday.

The underpass passes through Thaltej circle on SG Highway. On one end there’s Thaltej Gurudwara, while on the other end there’s BMW showroom.

This is one of the projects to be dedicated by state Chief Minister on Monday in Ahmedabad.

The other development projects to be opened include, a revamped version of city’s MJ Library, District panchayat run new primary schools at Vastrapur and Ghuma, ground breaking for Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA)’s proposed six lane over bridge on Sardar Patel ring road at Bopal, Shahwadi(Vasna) water distribution station, Madhupura ward office, over head tanks for pilot project of 24×7 water supply schemes in Stadium and Jodhpur wards. Anganwadi building, sound system in KK Nagar hall, Gym equipments and redeveloped Ghuma talav.

The event , marking inauguration of these development projects has been organized at Basera party plot near Ambli-Bopal BRTS junction at around 6.30 pm.

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will dedicate the road grade separator on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway and Thaltej Road crossing near the Gurudwara built by Government of Gujarat Roads & Building Department at a cost of Rs.64-crore on Monday, October 6, 2014. The grade separator is projected to ease traffic snarl on this road section.

She will also dedicate different development works completed by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA), including refurbished MJ Library, 24×7 overhead water supply tank for Jodhpur ward, Shahwadi water distribution station, as well as laying foundation stone of RMS Talav, 6-lane over bridge on Sardar Patel (SP) Ring Road.
