CM chairs review meeting on additional water supply to Kutch

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today held a review meeting on issue of additional water supply to scarcity affected areas of Kutch.
She was briefed that, against the plan of 182 new tube-wells, work for 109 are already completed.
She was also briefed about construction of new sump near Bhachau to supply 175 mld water through gravity upto Varshamedi village via 36 km long pipe line.
The meeting was briefed that Saurashtra-Kutch based Navda-Malia will pump 1500 mld water instead of present 1250 mld.
Three talukas of Kutch – Abdasa, Lakhpat and Rapar witnessed less than 50% rainfall in last monsoon. Existing sump machinery will be changed and modern machinery will be installed to supply water in situation of scarcity.
