If there’s good response it will be extended to June and further on, this was announced by Makemytrip Chief Commercial Officer Keyur Joshi in Ahmedabad. Joshi was joined by E.Sabri Ergen,Consul General of Turkey.
As there are no scheduled flights, the only option to connect to domestic passengers to Turkey is having chartered flight, Joshi told media person in a media event held at Ahmedabad’s Grand Hyatt hotel.
He said Turkey is very suitable for chartered operations, as most of the passengers visit Turkey through this mode.
He said, the proposed chartered flight will have capacity to carry 208 passengers aboard.
Joshi said, if Gujaratis who have special preference for meals, prefer to travel in one group in chartered flight, it will be easier to take care of them with personal attention.
He said, the option of catching scheduled flight to reach place like Antalya in Turkey is not practical, as a passenger would need to change flights and locations to reach there. In fact reaching America would be easier.
