Department of sports, youths and cultural activities, Government of Gujarat arm Lalitkala Academy today presented Gaurav Puraskar for year 2013-14.

Nine artists who received awards are: Bharti Prajapati(Ahmedabad), Ashok Khant(Vallabh Vidyanagar), Ajit Patel(Anand) and Navin Soni(Kutch) for painting. Mamtaben Y Patel(Vallabh Vidyanagar) and Mahendra H Upadhyay(Ahmedabad) for sculpture. Banvari R Rajput(Ahmedabad), Girish Parikh(Ahmedabad) and Kamal Rana(Vadodara) for photography.

Each award winner was presented an award of Rs. 51,000 cash and copper plate.

Minister Nanubhai Vanani, actor Paresh Rawal, Censor board member Mihir Bhuta were among those present in the award function.
