Gujarat Budget: Rs. 468 crore 4-lane road connecting Vadodara and Ankleshwar to Statue of Unity

Finance Minister Saurabh Patel today in his budget speech announced Rs. 468 crore four lane road connecting Vadodara and Ankleshwar to Statue of Unity, the tallest statue of the world featuring Sardar Patel which is proposed to be constructed in four years.

For next fiscal, Finance Minister announced allocation of Rs. 50 crore for this project.

Finance Minister also announced a proposal to construct a bridge connecting mainlant to Bet Dwarka.

The 4-laning of the Bhavnagar-Ahmedabad highway taking in the context of development of Dholera region has been planned, the budget speech reads.

Budget speech reads that the works of a new bridge beside the Golden bridge on Narmada river, new bridge on Dev river in Vadodara district, a bridge near Vaghrech in Gandevi taluka on Kaveri river and on river Gangadiyo in Amreli district are planned.

Rs. 60 crore provision was announced for phase-2 (B) of Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

Rs. 60.89 crore was allocated for a multi-storeyed building as well as the officers/employees’ quarters in Ahmedabad.
