GSRTC employees back on duty after meeting with state govt

All three unions of employees working in Government run Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC) which runs State Transport(ST) buses across Gujarat today suspended their strike and went back to job in the evening.
The decision was taken by three unions of employees after a long meeting with state government in Gandhiangar.
GSRTC employees had joined national strike over number of issues including upcoming bill. They went on strike in midnight and were to continue their 24 hours strike till midnight today. As they found their meeting with state minister successful, they decided to join the duty back even before midnight.
Union leaders speaking to media persons in Gandhinagar said that the government would not take action against the employees who were on mass casual leave today. They said they were technically not on strike but on mass casual leave. They said the government has assured that employees on mass leave will not face any action. Union leaders further said that their meeting with state Transport Minister will take place soon and they have been given assurance that their pending issues will be taken care of by government.
