Gujarat CM led delegation in Beijing: iNDEXTb signs MoUs

A delegation of Gujarat, led by state Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today held a meeting with captains of Chinese Industry in capital Beijing.

Several Memorandum of Understanding(MoUs) were signed with Chinese industries by Gujarat government and private industries based in Gujarat.

“I am delighted with China Association of Small & Medium Enterprises(CASME) and Gujarat are coming together which will leverage strength of our MSME sector. Industrial Extension Bureau(iNDEXTb) and China Small & Medium Enterprise Investment Ltd(subsidiary of CASME) have signed MoU worth Rs 19,000 crore for new smart city in Gujarat.” stated Gujarat Chief Minister

She added, “this MoU, in addition to inclusion of GIFT City for pilot smart cities project between India and China lays road map for development of smart cities in Gujarat.”

“For infrastructure projects, MoUs was signed between iNDEXTb & Hong Bang Finance & Investment Ltd in the presence of its Chairman Mrs. Gao Xia,” she stated.

“Another MoU has been signed to develop tourism and transport infrastructure at several places across Gujarat was signed between iNDEXTb and Guangdong Richwood Group.”

“Giving thrust to Swachchata Abhiyan and promotion of clear energy, iNDEXTb & Sinofinn Group signed MoU for Bio Waste & City Waste based power project.”

Gujarat Chief Minister is on 7-day long visit to China and Hong Kong with a 25 member delegation that includes senior government officers, Ahmedabad Mayor and captains of industries in Gujarat. Her second day of visit was attached to Prime Minister of India’s visit to China. From today onwards Gujarat Chief Minister is traveling separately with state delegation.

Prime Minister had invited Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka Chief Ministers to join his China visit. While Congress-ruled Karnataka Chief Minister turned down the offer, Gujarat and Maharashtra Chief Ministers are in China with state-specific agendas.
