Speaking at Somnath in a function, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that lower result in board exams were mainly due to close watch over examination halls through CCTV cameras and tablets. He said there are many reasons for lower results, but CCTV is main reason. He said out of 59,000 examination centers, 56,000 had CCTV cameras.

It should be mentioned that over 7.4 lakh students have been unsuccessful in standard 10th and 12th board exams this year. There have been incidents of half a dozen suicides by students who were unsuccessful in board exams this year.
