Police constable killed during Patidar violence cremated

Chowk bazar police station’s Dilip Rathwa who was killed by agitators during Patidar violence near Dabholi char rasta in Surat was given guard of honor by Surat police before cremation.
29-year old Lok Rakshak Dilip Rathwa was beaten with steel pipe on his head. Police Inspector Chavda has booked 400-500 mob for rioting, atrocity act and murder. Dilip was in Lok Rakshak Dal for last four years. He was originally from Vahesiya village of Jetpur taluka of Chhota Udepur district.
Rathwa was given guard of honor in Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research(SMIMER) hospital in presence of police commissioner Rakesh Asthana and other senior police officers.
During the violence in Surat city, more than 45 police men have suffered injuries.
Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said that wife of martyr Lok Rakshak Dilip will be given government job. Dilip’s both sons will complete graduation with assistance from police welfare fund.
Mahidharpura police station staff has meanwhile given assistance of Rs 51,000 as immediate help.
