Guangdong – Gujarat pact for mutual cooperation action plan signed

Guangdong Province Governor Zhu Xiaodan with his delegation today called on Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in capital Gandhinagar.

Governor Zhu is on two days visit to Gujarat. He arrived at Sardar Patel airport today.

During the meeting, Gujarat Chief Minister said Gujarat will set up a permanent system to review progress of pacts signed between Gujarat and Guangdong once every three months.

It should be mentioned that both provinces have signed 12 memorandums of understanding(MoU).

The delegation members are scheduled to visit various sites to explore investment opportunities in Gujarat.

Anandiben had sent Rakhi on Raksha Bandhan to Governor Zhu, in response to which Governor Zhu presented Anandiben her portrait.

On this occasion, a mutual cooperation action plan was signed. On Gujarat side, the Chief Secretary signed this MoU.

Governor Zhu told Anandiben that by visiting Gujarat, he has kept the promise given to his elder sister(Anandiben Patel). He invited Anandiben to revisit Guangdong.

Anandiben invited Governor Zhu to witness Gujarat’s cultural festival Navratri and pay another visit for that.

From Gujarat side, Dholera SIR, Gift city, smart city, DMIC corridor, cotton production, state’s position as textile hub, solar energy, skill development were some of the areas showcased before Chinese delegation. Gujarat side pointed out that the state contributes 17% to India’s manufacturing sector. Industrial relations, manufacturing, electronics, infrastructure cooperation, smart city projects and people to people contacts were some of the highlights of discussion between two leaders.
