Gujarat completes 81.24% rain of monsoon, 13 dams full, 48 on alert

Gujarat has completed 81.24% rain of average monsoon season this year. Region wise percentage of rain Kutch – 136.10%, North Gujarat 115.85%, East-central Gujarat 58.50%, Saurashtra 89.08% and South Gujarat 66.62%.
According to the state emergency operation center reports, as on 8.00 am today, out of 202 reservoirs across the state 13 are full with water.They include Pigur in Bharuch, Umariya in Dahod, Vaidi in Arvalli, Doswada in Tapi, Dhatarwadi and Vadiya in Amreli, Shetrunji, Malan and Rojki in Bhavnagar, Raval in Gir Somnath, Nyari-2, Veri and Chhapparwadi-2 in Rajkot.
14 dams in state are 70-80% full of water while 129 dams have water level below 70%. Other 34 reservoirs are on high alert while 25 are on alert.
Level of water at Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam is 120.58 meter.
