October 13, 2015
Halol
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel while speaking at a function in Halol today morning said that farmers will not be able to get water supply for crops in upcoming summer, as the state government has taken a decision to reserve the available stock of water in dams only for drinking purpose. Anandiben promised the people of central Gujarat that they would not have any problem of drinking water and fodder, but irrigation water supply for crops in summer will not be possible. She said water can not be ordered from America, yes fodder can be ordered, and there will be no issue regarding fodder supply. It should be mentioned that Gujarat has not received sufficient rain this year, particularly in central Gujarat region where Chief Minister was addressing the assembly today.
