Rs five lakh reward announced for clue in Bharuch BJP leaders double murder case

The Bharuch police, which is still clueless about the sensational killing of the two leaders of the ruling BJP in the city on November 2, today announced Rs five lakh reward for giving information about the killers.

Senior BJP leader and former district president of the party Shirish Bangali and the district general secretary of the youth wing of the party, BJYM, Pragnesh Mistry were shot dead by motorcycle borne unidentified assailants who had covered their faces with piece of clothes.

SP Bharuch Shobha Bhutada today said that it has been decided to give a reward of Rs 5 lakh for giving information about the killers. ‘We have also provided two specific numbers 9714870454 and 9714505500 for the purpose. Anyone can call on the numbers to provide the information and their identity will be kept secret,’ the SP said.

She admitted that the police was still clueless about the attackers even though the investigation was moving in the right direction.

The duo was shot from close range while they were sitting near Mr. Bangali’s private office at Panch Batti locality in Shevashram road. Mr. Bangali was also associated with the RSS and VHP in the past. The attackers fled after the incident.

The anti terrorist squad of the Gujarat police were also helping the Bharuch police in the investigation.
