Another Gujarati killed in the US, third in a row from Anand

In the second incident of murder of a person of Gujarati origin in the US this month and third in a row of a native of Anand district living that country, unidentified criminals shot dead a 33 year old man in Los Angeles in South California, police said today.
Mitesh Patel, a native of Umreth village in the central Gujarat district of Anand, was living there since 2002 and co-owned a provision store. The incident took place when he was closing his store. The attackers shot at him, most likely with an intention of loot, yesterday night following which he was admitted to a hospital where he succumbed, police said adding his wife, daughter and a sister used to live in the US while the parents stayed back home.
The incident has taken place close on heels to the killing of another NRG, Harshad Patel, a native of Bochasan in Anand district in Virginia of the US on January 11.
Earlier 50 year old Ashwin Patel (also from Anand, village Sarsa) was killed by two unknown criminals in New Jersey of the US in October last year. He also used to run a departmental store and was shot dead in similar manner.
Over a dozen people of Gujarati origin have been killed in such incidents on foreign soil in last 13 monts. In US alone the figure was over half a dozen. Incidentally most of the murders were committed by negro (black) criminals.
