Policeman in uniform murdered in cold blood by inebriated goons in Rajkot

A young constable of the B-division police station in Rajkot was murdered in cold blood by some history-sheeter goons in the city late last night, police said today.
Joint Commissioner of Police D S Bhatt today said that Bharat Gadhvi (28), a bright young duty bound constable was attacked by four drunk goons near his residence in Kotharia road area under Taluka police station while he was on his way back to home and was still in his uniform.
Gadhvi had an altercation with them when he questioned as to what they were doing in highly inebriated state so late in the night (at around 2 am). One of them Shakti alias Penda, who was a notorious criminal accused in several cases including torching of vehicles, became angry at it and started a fight with the constable.Later they attacked him with rod and stone and injured him seriously.
Injured Gadhvi was taken to civil hospital and later to a private hospital but succumbed.
Police has caught the four culprits. The matter was being investigated.
