Temperatures four largest cities in Gujarat soar above 40

With rising mercury amid scorching heat, capital city Gandhinagar and several other places including the four largest citiesAhmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara in Gujarat today recorded a maximum temperature in excess of 40 degree Celsius.
The area around the airport in the port city of Kandala in Kucth district remained hottest with 41.8 degree Celsius
Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Deesa, Idar, Surendranagar, Vadodara, Bhuj and Surat recorded temperatures above 40 degree Celsius.
As per the the bulletin of the meteorology center here the maximum and minimum temperatures at various places during the last 24 hours was as following-
PORBANDAR 38.2 25.0, AHMEDABAD 40.8 24.5 RAJKOT 41.5 24.7, DEESA 40.7 23.8 VERAVAL 36.4 24.8, GANDHI NAGAR 40.0 24.5,
IDAR 41.2 25.7, SURENDRANAGAR 41.3 25.6, V.V. NAGAR 39.8 25.6 MAHUVA 39.6 24.9, Vadodara 40.7 27.0, BHUJ 40.8 24.1, SURAT 40.2 26.0 , VALSAD 39.4 22.1, NALIYA 34.4 20.2, KANDLA AIRPORT 41.8 21.2, BHAVNAGAR 39.6 27.0, DWARKA 31.0 26.5, OKHA 32.1 26.1.
