Bhuj: A youth from Kutch in Gujarat stuck in Saudi Arabia will return back to India thanks to local Lok Sabha MP and Prime Minister office’s help.
About two and half years ago, a youth Vinod Ramji Maheshwari had gone to Saudi Arabia due to attractive opportunity showcased by an agent here. However Maheshwari when reached Saudi Arabia was pushed to work in jungle area located 70 km away from Najran city. His Passport was snatched. He was suffering great difficulty for proper two-time meals. When he complained, the company asked him to give back 35,000 Riyal first. Unable to pay this huge ammount, Maheshwari was stuck in Saudi Arabia.
After he made representation through letters to Kutch Lok Sabha MP Vinod Chadva, Ministry of External Affairs looked into the matter. Chavda made representation before the Prime Minister on August 8 following which the central government assisted Maheshwari for payment of 10,000 Riyal as payment to company and 400 Riyal for meals and other facilities.
With intervention of Saudi based India High Commission, Maheshwari is all set to return back to Kutch on August 19.
