GPSC uses jammers in exam halls to prevent high-tech cheating

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Public Service Commission(GPSC) has for the first time used jammers to block mobile internet and mobile telephone signals completely at examination centers in order to prevent high-tech cheating.
The step intends to prevent all kinds of high-tech cheating across over 500 classrooms and 47 centers including cheating using smart watch and blue tooth.
GPSC had in prelim exams passed 12,516 students against 460 seats as per the court order. As many as 10,383 students had applied for final exam. It is believed that over 8,500 are appearing in the last phase of exam today for class 1 and 2 across 47 centers and 579 classrooms in Ahmedabad. Each classroom has jammer installed in order to prevent data or phone communication during exam.
