Lies on social media: When retired Professor Jivanbhai Parmar becomes EVM maker Jayantibhai!
April 02, 2017
Ahmedabad: Lies are in circulation again on social media by who else? Those in the wider eco-system of Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Admi Party! Once they start it, the others also join the bandwagon.
A picture of Trustees of Gujarat based Shri Somnath Trust is on circulation on social media widely today mainly through those who are AAP cadre/supporters(we can judge it based on their other tweets and retweets). The picture shows Trustees of Shri Somnath Trust standing together. From left to right they are Shri Amit Shah, Shri JD Parmar, Shri Narendra Modi, Shri LK Advani, Shri PK Lehri and Shei Harsh Neotia – all Trustees of Shri Somnath Trust. In this picture, one of Trustees Shri JD Parmar’s face has been encircled. The tweet mentions that EVM(Electronic Voting Machines that are used in elections) were purchased from the company of Jayat bhai(encircled in the image) who is class fellow of Narender Modi.
The fact is the person with encircled face is not Jayatbhai(or Jayantibhai) but he is Jivanbhai Deshabhai Parmar, better known as JD Parmar. He is one of the Trustees of Shri Somnath Trust. He was professor in local college and he is now retired. He is remotely not connected to any activity of making EVMs or anything else.
One blog post in Hindi is also created to further circulate this sheer lie and untruth apparently in order to strengthen the laughable claim of Arvind Kejriwal that EVMs elect BJP! We don’t know how many weak minds are caught in the trap of such falsehoods that are being spread using social media. Afterall outside Gujarat who would be knowing that retired professor Jivanbhai has been made EVM manufacturer Jayantibhai!
