8 pilgrim places in Gujarat to be kept clean round the clock; Gujarat CM launches initiative

Somnath: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today launched Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board’s cleanliness initiative under which national level agency has been given contract to clean 8 pilgrim places Somnath, Dwarka, Girnar, Ambaji, Palitana, Pavagadh, Dakor and Shamlaji round the clock.
Launching this initiative along with a new website of Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board and Yatradham Swachchata Abhiyan logo at Somnath, the Chief Minister in his address said that under this initiative not just 8 main temples but their surrounding areas and connecting roads will also be kept clean through round the clock efforts. At Somnath 11 lakh square meter area will be kept clean constantly.
As we wrote earlier, the task of keep Somnath temple, its surrounding and linking roads has been assigned to BVG India ltd which also keeps Rashtrapati Bhavan, parliament, PM residence, Shirdi Saibaba mandir etc important places clean.
