‘Unstable’ Congress outsted Kamat because he dined with Vaghela: Patel

Ahmedabad: Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Nitin Patel today claimed that former Gujarat Congress in-charge Gurudas Kamat was ousted by the party owing to his proximity with leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela.

Talking to media persons Patel also said that the main opposition party and its leaders have become unstable.

‘Congress, which was party of a family has now even gone behind AAP party (indirectly referring to the MCD results). It should introspect,’ he said.

‘The Gujarat in-charge of Congress Gurudas Kamat was ousted and replaced by Ashok Gehlot only because he had gone to dine at Shankersinh Vaghela’s residence 15 days ago. The party has become unstable. Its leaders have become unstable. So people now don’t bother as to what its state president Bharatsinh Solanki or any other leader is saying,’ he said referring to the alleged internal conflict in the party.

He also said that Congress become visible only in the year of election and disappears after the polls. People should not be mislead by it.

Earlier, talking to newsmen at Dhansura in Aravalli district, BJP state general secretary K C Patel also attacked Congress saying that it was Gandhiji’s wish that the party should be winded up after the freedom struggle.

‘After being declared as the PM candidate of BJP in 2014, Narendrabhai Modi had given a call for ‘Congress-free India’ and now it is becoming a reality. The party was first limited to 44 seats in Lok Sabha and was losing election after election after that. So much so that it was sliding to 3 or 4 th places,’ he said.

Notably, GPCC president Bharatsinh Solanki had claimed that this time around Congress in Gujarat would get two third majority. BJP would be wiped out.
