Somnath: Bollywood actor Govinda today visited Somnath temple, which is the seat of first among the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, and offered prayers.

He participated in the morning aarti and performed abhishek after darshan.

The main priest later honoured the actor by offering him a shawl from the temple management.

Govinda also went to the Yagnashala of the temple where Atirudra Yagna is being held.

Later in brief interaction with media, the actor said that he visits the temple at least once every year. ‘I have made it a point to come here at least once each year. I feel peace here,’ he said.
