Zydus to open new medical college at Dahod

Dahod: Gujarat government has given green signal to reputed private pharma company Zydus Cadila for setting up a 150-seat medical college in Dahod. The government has made allotment of 7.5 hectare land in Muvaliya on lease for 33 years at token rent of Re 1 for this brownfield medical education project. The college will function on self financed model. As per the new policy the government will assist the company for instruments, construction, staff and more. Once the things are further finalized, a service level agreement will be signed between Zydus and Gujarat government. Dr. Sagar Nayak has been appointed as dean of the new medical college while Dr. VN Shah as Superintendent.
