July 19, 2017
Gandhinagar: Leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela’s Sam samvedana sammelan will take place at Gandhinagar town hall and not Mahatma Mandir.
Shankersinh had yesterday in a press conference announced the venue of sammelan as Mahatma Mandir, however the venue has been changed today and the function in which Shankersinh has invited all opposition MLAs is now going to be held at Gandhinagar town hall.
Mahatma Mandir is owned and operated by the Gujarat government. The agency indextb which manages Mahatma Mandir conveyed that due to repairing and ongoing air conditioning work, Mahatma Mandir can not be allotted for event.
Shankersinh’s MLA son Mahendrasinh said he personally visited Mahatma Mandir and confirmed that air conditioning and other repair work was going on there and reason conveyed by Indextb was genuine.
Mahendrasinh said Shankersinh took decision to change the venue without any hesitation and there was no politics involved in cancellation of Mahatma Mandir venue.
Mahendrasinh said Shankersinh will do big announcement at Samsamvedana sammelan in Gandhinagar town hall loan.
