Former Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat Jayanti Barot passes away

Mahesana: Jayanti Barot, former Rajya Sabha MP(10/04/2002 to 09/04/2008), former Chairman of Gujarat Housing Board and ex Chairman of Gujarat Backward Classes Development Corporation passed away today morning at around 4.00 am after prolong illness. He was General Secretary of BJP in the last decade. When Gadkari was President of BJP, Barot was appointed co-convener of party’s Senior citizen cell. Hailing from Mahesana in North Gujarat, Barot(75) was born in 1942. His son Tarun Barot has been assigned the responsibility of Gujarat BJP IT cell along with two other leaders.
