Amdavad to host Ayurvedic National Summit & Expo on Ayurveda from Friday

Ahmedabad:

In a bid to propagate a healthy life by delving into ancient Indian Ayurveda and Unani medicine systems, the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) in association with the Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine will organize a National Summit & Expo on Ayurveda at Mahatma Mandir on September 30.

Today, the entire world is afflicted by multiple contagious ailments. The current circumstances have again restored faith of people in Ayurveda. The National Summit & Expo on Ayurveda, 2017 will serve as a milestone to work in this direction.

The summit is expected to see national Ayurveda experts of India assemble to share their knowledge gained from extensive researches. They will also give live demonstrations at the venue.

The diverse treatment streams to be touched upon are the ailments of the nervous system and vital points, Panchkarma and Agni Karma. In Ayurveda, the vaat, pitta and cough determine the status of the nerves in the body. Examining nerves can detect critical illnesses. Pressure points in the body can control and eradicate illnesses by positively monitoring and channelizing the body energy.

Panchkarma establishes purity of the body and holds the key to cure diseases and may serve as a preventive measure. In the next decade, prospects of medical tourism in Gujarat may receive a boost by making the state a hub of Ayurveda and Panchkarma.

Similarly, utilizing the methods propagated by Agni Karma can serve as a permanent cure to body pain.

A National Workshop has also been designed to present Post Graduate Research work to revered Ayurvedic experts and practitioners.

The summit will have multiple exhibition stalls where national Ayurvedic pharmacists will display the latest medicines and cures available. From Gujarat, over 7,000 Ayurvedic doctors will attend the summit along with 1000 national delegates, Post Graduate Ayurveda practitioners and 200 participating companies. Knowledge will be shared to take clinical researches to the next level to help cure diseases.

The National Summit & Expo on Ayurveda will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani.

State Model Institute of Ayurveda Science Government Ayurveda College, Kolvada will be inaugurated. The seminar will be graced by Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education, Government of Gujarat as the Chief Guest.

Vanitha Muralikumar, President of CCIM, New Delhi, Vd. Rajeshbhai Kotecha, Secretary, AYUSH Department, New Delhi, Shri Poonamchand Parmar, ACS, Health & Family Welfare (Gujarat), Jayanthi Ravi, Health Commissioner of Gujarat, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurveda University Vd. Shri Sanjeev Ojha, Dr. Umesh Kumar Shukla, Vice Chairman, CCIM, New Delhi, Dr. Vishnubhai Patel, Convener, Doctor Cell, BJP will be present.

To make the summit a success, Dr. Kandarp Desai, Dr. Vikram Upadhyay, Dr. Ashraf Ansari, Member of CCIM, New Delhi, and Dr. Kiritbhai Patel and all the members of Gujarat Ayurveda Board and all organising committee members have put in efforts.
