Massive crowd gathers at public meeting ahead of Shankar Chaudhary’s nomination filling for Vav seat

Palanpur: Hundreds of nomination forms have been filed so far in Gujarat polls and more nominaion forms are to be filed in coming days, but one rally ahead of nomination filling was specially eye-catching. It was the rally at Vav in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat today addressed by Parshotram Rupala ahead of nomination filling by BJP candidate and Minister of State Shankarbhai Chaudhary.

Nearly one lakh people from Vav, Suigam and Bhabhar belt of Banaskantha district were present in public meeting held ahead of filling of nomination. A drone was used to capture video and photographs of such a massive crowd.

Chaudhary thanked the people for giving him blessings on the agenda of development. He said ‘this is border area, this is the last area of India and Gujarat. Congress kept this area backward in 50 years. We have tried our best to uplift this area whether its Narmada canal, education or health by putting all our efforts.’

Chaudhary said 95% of all Narmada canal works are completed here in last five years and farmers are yielding its benefits. For last 3 years, the farmers are sowing two crops per year.

‘Are you happy with Narmada water reaching this area?’

‘Are you satisfied with all hard work put by us, Prime Minister’s visit, Chief Minister camping here post flood?’

Chaudhary asked the people and received reply in ‘yes.’

‘All three talukas here have now colleges, there are more than 9 high schools and health facilities in this area now,’ said Chaudhary on works done in last five years.

Chaudhary sought blessings and approval of people before going to file nomination form in public meeting.

‘There will be obstructions created by opponents, it has happened every time in the past when I fought election, but I have stayed unharmed. Shankarbhai and people of this area are not separate, you become Shankarbhai and roam across villages to campaign, then only I will file nomination, you are contesting election,’ Shankarbhai said and asked approval of people.

Speaking in this public meeting, MoS in Centre Parshottam Rupala said, ‘it seems like public meeting held for nomination filling as well as for victory. Rupala said visuals of this public meeting will demoralize Congress party even elsewhere.’

Rupala said, you should give vote to Shankarbhai for building 95% canals of Narmada project here, but you should also vote against Congress for stalling Narmada dam construction for 10 years in order to punish it.

After speeches by Chaudhary and Parshottam Rupala, the crowd followed Chaudhary on his way to filling nomination at Suigam.
