Rahul Gandhi considers ‘Hindu Terror’ more dangerous that Laskhar-e-Taiba: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Ahmedabad:

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of clapping at the release of Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, senior BJP leader and union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday hit out at the grand old party’s Vice President Rahul Gandhi for considering Hindu terror more ‘dangerous’ than Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Addressing media persons here, Union Law Minister Prasad said, “When US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton came to India in 2009, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh invited her on luncheon. Along with her, US Ambassador to India Timothy Roemer and Congress General Secretary (now Vice President) Rahul Gandhi also accompanied. During conversation, Mr Roemer asked Mr Gandhi about his views on LeT, he replied that Hindu terror are more dangerous than LeT.”
This information was released by the WikiLeaks in which it was also mentioned that the Congress leader shared his views with Roemer on a range of political topics, social challenges and electoral issues for the party in the next five years. It was also published by London based newspaper The Guardian. He should reply as to why he said this.

Prasad also said the Congress Vice-President had also termed Prime Minister and then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as a polarising figure in the BJP and creating tensions in the country, which was a shameful act.

He also took a dig at Rahul for visiting temples in the state.
The Minister further raked up the issue of joint statement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, which was delivered at Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt on July 16, 2009 and said it was a shameful event where the Congress government compromised with the India’s interest.
In that statement, it was mentioned that Pakistan has some information on threats in Baluchistan and other areas.

Pakistan has always been accusing India of creating unrest in Baluchistan and other areas. The BJP found the statement as accepting the Pakistan’s propaganda.
