Ahmedabad: The Marriott group started yet another premium 5 star hotel in Ahmedabad today.

Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel, with 155 rooms including 6 suites, 62 twin rooms, 87 king rooms and 24 interconnecting rooms, was situated in Sola area.

This is over all 3 rd Renaissance hotel in India after Mumbai and Lucknow.

Owned by Samih group, the hotel would be managed by Renaissance Hotels, Part of Marriott International Inc. (It has been redone in to Renaissance hotel from earlier Hotel East Inn and Caspia close to Chanakyapuri).

Talking to newsmen on the occasion Neeraj Govil, Area Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International said that renowned Studio IV Designer from Delhi were hired to give the hotel its unique distinctive look and feel. The design language was inspired by the culture of the UNESCO heritage city of Ahmedabad. The illuminated hexagonal ceiling installation at the reception is an artistic representation of the kite flying festival of Uttarayan during which millions of colourful kites dot the sky of of Ahmedabad.

Culinary outlets at the hotel include R Kitchen, the all day dining restaurant serving cuisines from across the world, Asian Affair, the Japanese and Chinese specialty restaurants and a 24 hour coffee shop Mill & Co.

Leisure facilities include a well equipped fitness center, a rooftop open air swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. The hotel is spread over 29220 sq ft area.
