Gujarat CM hails Modi Government’s Budget for ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas’

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Budget for 2018-19 as presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as pro-people catering to ‘sauno saath, sauno vikas’.
Responding to the budget proposals, Mr. Rupani said the budget reflects concern for the farmer, agriculture and rural areas, aimed at encouraging small industries, strengthening the Indian economy, and building a new India. He hoped the budget would take care of ‘Ease of Living’ alongside ‘Ease of Doing Business’.
He hailed India’s flagship programme ‘Ayushman’ in which 50-crore poor are intended to be brought under Rs.5-lakh health cover per year, free electricity facility to 4-crore poor and smokeless free cooking gas connection to 8-crore rural women – reflecting the government’s commitment as compassion towards the poor families.
The Chief Minister described the raise in Minimum Support Price for agricultural produces, Green House, Food Processing, Cluster Farming, and Rs.2,500-crore provision for ‘Operation Green’ as the best for the farmers.
He exuded confidence the job opportunities and incentives for the youth and women, small entrepreneurs would help realizing build a new India. He said the Narendra Modi Government’s Budget for new opportunities, new medical colleges, health and wellness centre, district-level skill centres and Railway University at Vadodara would establish Mother India as a strong economy.
The Chief Minister congratulated the Union Finance Minister for presenting a people’s welfare budget.
