ACB nabs Deputy Collector in North Gujarat for taking bribe inside circuit house

Palanpur/Ahmedabad:
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed a Deputy Collector in North Gujarat red handed taking bribe.
Additional Director of ACB Hasmukh Patel said that Deputy Collector of Deesa V K Upadhyay had demanded money from a contractor in connection with lease for sand of Banas river.
Patel said that based on a complaint the ACB today laid a trap at the circuit house in Palanpur where the Deputy collector was caught red handed accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakhs.
Patel said that the matter was under investigation.
