Togadia starts indefinite fast in Ahmedabad, hit out at Modi

Ahmedabad:

Former VHP leader Pravin Togadia today started his indefinite fast in Paldi area and during his speech alleged that BJP and PM Narendra Modi have not fulfilled its promises.

Togadia also said that he has no personal-dispute with PM Narendra Modi.

He alleged that PM Modi has taken u-turn on all the issues including GST, MNREGA, Aadhar, FDI in Retail sector which it earlier used to oppose strongly.

Togadia,, who started his fast in Vanikar Bhawan in Paldi area, alleged that the BJP has come to power owing to sacrifice of crores of Hindus. “The government has attained power on the dead-bodies of Hindus. But it is now not fulfilling the promises made to crores of Hindus,’ he claimed.

He said, ” The BJP came to power riding on Ram temple issue and now it is being said that the matter was in court. It was dishounoring of promises that you made and for which large number of people including 59 from Gujarat become martyrs. Now you say Togadia has personal animosity with PM Modi. But it is not correct. Narendrabhai should himself clarify it during his Man Ki Baat programmes.”

‘If I would not have wished he would not have become CM or PM. Do we have any property dispute of our fathers or grandfathers. No, there is not. Today what Pravin Togadia is saying is what Narendrabhai, BJP, RSS, VHP used to say four years back. When the Manmohan Singh government was there at center, Modi ji used to clap on the stage with me when the demand for making law in the parliament for construction of Ram Temple was raised,’ he said.

‘Is the demand for Ram temple any personal demand of mine. There is no personal dispute between me and Narendrabhai. But Narendrabhai please remember that the power you have gained was on the bodies of Hindus,’ he said adding that the family members of those who sacrificed for the Ram temple has faith that it would not go in vain. Since 2014 it is being said that the issue was in court but it was also so when the lock of the Ramjanbhoomi temple was opened in 1986 or Advani ji took out a Rath Yatra in 1990,’ Togadia said.

He reiterated that he was ousted of VHP for not giving up the demand for Ram Temple.

Togadia also claimed that he would have become CM of Gujarat has he wished so in 2001.

He also alleged that the Modi government at center has taken U Turn on all the issues it opposed during Congress regime.

Togadia also lashed out at Modi for terming Gau-sevaks as Goons. ‘The same Gau-sevaks were your brothers earlier on but now they have become goons and butchers,’ he said.

He also alleged that the current cash crisis in the banks was a result of big fishes like Nirav Modi, Vijay Malya running away with Rs 8 lakh crore NPA. ‘This fund could have been used for waiving the loans of farmers, and creating cheap and quality education and health system in the country.

Togadia also attacked PM Modi for not removing the Most Favoured Nation status of Pakistan despite its regular attack and killing of India soldiers. He also questioned the high price of Petrol in India and said that Rs 40 out of Rs 80 per liter of petrol was only tax. Sri Lanka which purchased it from India sold it in its country at a much cheaper rate.

He also alleged that the government has not done any thing to re-settle around 4 lakh Kashimir Hindus in their state. The government in stead taking a u-turn taken back cases from the separatists. Instead of fulfilling its promise to oust 3 crore Bangladeshi intruders the government has settled Rohingyas. It has not moved forward to make uniform civil code and instead bothered for triple talaq law.

‘The daughters in the country were also not safe today. They are being raped even in cities. 75% of the cottage industries have shut down. Jobs on contract basis were tools of exploitation. The talks of dealing toughly with Pakistan has also proved wrong. Farmers were committing suicide and were not being paid twice the price of their cost and the PM is on trips abroad,’ he said.

‘The BJP, RSS and VHP were mainly funded by the small contributions of Rs 100 to 500 by the crores of small traders but it has also wreaked havoc on them through demonetization and GST,’ he said.

Togadia said that he would prefer to be beheaded rather than betraying Hindus. ‘I am doing the fast against the attempts of suppression of the voice of 100 Hindus and to give strength to this voice. In my support fasts were also being held in places like Nagpur, Hyderabad, Begaluru, Kochchi, Trivandrum and Lucknow,’ he said.

He also make his supporters resolve about fighting for the causes like construction of Ram Temple, strong cow protection laws, common civil code, removal of article 370 cheaper health and education facilities, ouster of Bangladeshi intruders.
