British multinational QX attains record 1000th employees in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: A British multinational accounting services, QX Global Services has achieved a landmark of 1000 employee in Gujarat. The company has next goal of achieving QX 3.0 or 3,000 employees mark in next three years. The company has one office in Vadodara with 500 employees and 3 in Ahmedabad. The company is biggest Accounting & Recruitment KPO company in Gujarat and has presence in US and UK, providing services to both private and public-sector companies.

QX Chairman Chris Robinson while speaking to media persons here said, ‘15 years ago, QX was The First British KPO in Gujarat with 5 employees and today we are The FIRST to attain 1000+ employees.’

‘The company has set out a plan to expand its geographical foot prints and open delivery centers in other parts of Gujarat such as Surat and Rajkot; along with increase in its current operations at Vadodara,” he added.

In the last year QX has significantly increased its management team including the addition of Mr. SumitGoswami, the Group CEO and Mr. Percy Postwalla, the Group COO.

Addressing the media, Mr. Sumit Goswami, Group CEO, QX Global Services said the company will have 100-150 robots which shall convert the manual processes into automated. He said Gujarat has amazing skill pool. People here are with lot of passion and zeal to learn and deliver. This has not been seen in other states.

He said the next phase of the growth will be technology driven which means digitization of manual processes, automation and standardisation of processes, Application of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial intelligence (AI) to processes.

Mr. Percy Postwalla said, the most important thing for the organization is people. Qx is client and people centric organization. Qx Academy offers four-month training for U.K. and U.S. accounting. First batch of 13 was graduated recently and all were recruited in the company. Qx employees in Gujarat take ownership of the work assigned and work passionately which is amazing about them. The company has open floor system. One can simply walk to meet the bosses directly. There are management side initiatives like ‘Coffee with Sumit(CEO)’, ‘Induction Day’ and more in the company.

The company’s success has resulted into conferring of Certificate of Excellence award from British High Commission. Mr. Geoff Wain, British Deputy High Commissioner was present on the occasion to present the award and applaud the success of the company.

Addressing the media, Mr. Wain, said “It’s really commendable to achieve tremendous growth in just a short span of time. Not only is the company achieving new heights but they are also providing skilled employment opportunities to the people in Gujarat”.

“When I came to Ahmedabad for the first time, I was the only westerner in the plane. Now when I come here the plane is full of westerners. This has happened mostly in last five years,” he said adding that Britain is focusing on pharma, gas, petrochemicals, energy and chemical sectors in Gujarat.
