European turbine maker teams up with Indian company for 300-MW wind project in Kutch

Mumbai: KP Energy Ltd has partnered with a European wind turbine maker to execute a 300-MW wind project in the state of Gujarat.
KP Energy announced the signing of a letter of intent (LoI) with this manufacturer on Tuesday, without disclosing its name.
The company said that it plans to install 130 wind turbines of 2.3 MW each at its site in Hajipir, Kutch. It has been working on land acquisition there for over a year now and will also be deploying LiDAR technology for wind measurements.
KP Energy noted that this is the second 300-MW wind project it will be developing with the Central Transmission Utility over the next two years.
