Bit coin case: CID picks up Nalin Kotadia aide Ahir from Rajkot, recovers Rs 25 lakh, Kotadia’s arrest appears certain now

Gandhinagar: Former GPP MLA Nalin Kotadia was to get Rs 66 lakh in bitcoin extortion and kidnapping case, of which Rs 35 lakh amount was already received by him. While Rs 25 lakh sum was sent to him by key accused Kirit Paladiya through Kotadia’s niece, another Rs 10 lakh sum was sent to Kotadiya through his another relative by Paladiya.

Paladiya a key conspirator is already arrested by CID.

In latest, CID Crime picked up Nalin Kotadia aide, Rajkot based Nankubhai Ahir and recovered Rs 25 lakh from him which is related to the case. Rajkot resident Ahir is said to be in realty business. He could be arrested after interrogation. Kotadia had given him money in recent past.

Nalin Kotadia is untraced after State CID Crime summoned him. Kotadia’s arrest is now appears certain. Earlier the District Superintendent of Police of Amreli and Local Crime Branch Inspector among others are arrested in this case in which bit coins were extorted from one Shailesh Bhatt after his kidnapping by police team as part of conspiracy masterminded by Bhatt’s business aide Kirit Paladiya, Surat based lawyer Ketan Patel, Ketan’s brother, PI Anant Patel, SP Jagdish Patel and former MLA Nalin Kotadia.

The probe agency is likely to add the section of Prevention of Corruption Act(PCA) in this case.

Update: Certain about his arrest now, Kotadia issues statement

Bitcoin case suspect and former Dhari MLA Nalin Kotadiya, who has allegedly gone underground fearing his arrest, has now issuing a statement claimed that he was being implicated in the case.

He has also alleged that some big-wigs were trying to get him entrapped and even get encountered in the name of the case.

In a statement reportedly issued by him he has alleged that if he or any of his family members dies, the whole responsibility would be of complainant and Surat builder Shailesh Bhatt.

He has claimed that he was being implicated in the case by forcing the other accused.

Kotadiya in the said-statement also questioned as to why the police was investigating Rs 12 crore bitcoin case so promptly but ignoring Rs 240 crore bitcoin case (which according to him was forcefully taking 2300 bitcoins of two persons by Bhatt).
