Ahmedabad:

Seychelles president Danny Faure today visited Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) here and also had a meeting with ‘long-time friend’ and its Director Professor Errol D’Souza.

A statement by the prestigious B-school said that the Institute was glad to share that His Excellency, Mr. Danny Faure, The President of Seychelles, visited IIM Ahmedabad campus today (Saturday, June 23, 2018). He interacted with the Director, Prof. Errol D’Souza, Dean Programmes, Prof Shailesh Gandhi, and Chairperson of the JSW School of Public Policy, Prof. Vijaya Sherry Chand. The visit also comprised a short tour of Heritage campus.

Notably, Faure had arrived here last evening on a two day trip to Gujarat as part of his India visit. He visited historic Sabarmati Ashram and will leave for Goa today after visiting the Gujarat Forensic Science University (GFSU) in Gandhinagar. Oer half a dozen police officials from the archipelago African country in Indian Ocean were under training. Faure is scheduled to meet them too.

The trip of Faure is taking place at a time when Seychelles Parliament has reportedly blocked planned joint Indian Naval Base at one of its islands and also several important strategic ties were at stake.
