Opportunity to join Civil Service: GPSC invites applications for 294 Class I and II posts

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Public Service Commission(GPSC) has invited applications for recruitment of 294 posts of Class I and II.

Encouraging the youths to aply for Civil Service, GPSC Chairman Shri Dinesh Dasa in his Facebook post said: ‘As Albert Einstein said “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” The Civil Service as a career provides that opportunity to be able to change. The dream for many may come true when the Gujarat Public Service Commission has advertised 294 Class I & II posts.’

The advertisement includes 50 posts of Deputy Collector, 3 posts of DySP, 15 posts of Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, 1 post each for Dy Director, Developing Castes and Dy Director, Scheduled Castes, 5 posts of Assistant Commissioner Of Tribal Development, altogether 75 posts of Class 1 while 219 posts of Class II including 10 posts of Section Officer, Sachivalaya while 1 post of that of Section Officer, GPSC, 34 posts of Mamlatdar, 40 posts of State Tax Officer, 32 vacancies of Taluka Development Officer, 28 posts of Govt Labour Officer, 17 posts of Tribal Development Officer, 13 posts of District Inspector Land Record, 10 posts of Asst. Director, Food and Civil Supply, 1 post of Social Welfare Officer (Dev. Cast), 02 posts of Superintendent Prohibition & Excise, 31 posts of Municipal Chief Officer.

Any one between 20-35 years who is graduated or in the final year of graduation study is eligible to apply. Last date of application is 31st July, 2018 ( 13.00 ).

There will be two stages in recruitment process,

(1) Preliminary Exam of 400 marks

(2) Main Exams Of 1000 marks

( Written 900 marks + Interview 100 marks )

In preliminary exam, there will be two General Studies Papers, each of 200 marks having 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) to be written in 120 minuets. Preliminary test is screening test on the results of which 15 times of candidates of number of posts advertised would be allowed to write main written exam.

Main Written Exam will have six descriptive type papers, each of 150 marks to be written in 180 minuets. The Six paper includes,

(1) Gujarati Language

(2) English Languages

(3) Essay

(4) General Studies-1

(5) General Studies-2

(6) General Studies-3
