City Gold multiplex at Shyamal served notice for chargeable parking in basement

Ahmedabad: City Police as part of its drive against haphazard parking today towed vehicles from service road of a building near Shyamal cross roads that houses Brand Factor store and City Gold multiplex. The building charges from visitors for basement parking due to which number of vehicles are parked outside the building either on footpath or in service lane. According to new GDCR rules, collecting charges for parking in building premises is illegal. City police has served second notice to Sanjay Chiman Agrawal owned City Gold multiplex for chargeable parking in basement. It’s worth noting that Himalaya mall, Ahmedabad One mall and several other commercial complexes have stopped charging for parking of vehicles in premises after city police’s dictation.
