Ghat on river Sabarmati in Ahmedabad named as Atal Ghaat

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today made announcement that the ghat on river Sabarmati at Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad will be named as Atal Ghaat. He said the ghat will be developed by AMC.
Rupani made this announcement after immersion of ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in river Sabarmati.
Earlier Rupani and state party chief Vaghani received the urn containing ashes of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s mortal remains at the airport in a solemn and sombre atmosphere of here.
Asthi kumbh (a pot containing ashes) was carried to river Sabarmati in open truck in procession style.
