Former Mahesana MP and Congress leader Jivabhai Patel joins BJP

New Delhi: Former Lok Sabha member from Mahesana seat in North Gujarat and senior Congress leader Jivabhai Patel today formally joined ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). Jivabhai was Mahesana MP during 2004-2009. He had defeated present Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel in election in 2004 polls. Jivabhai had resigned from Congress party in the month of June this year. Jivabhai had unsuccessfully contested last Lok Sabha general election in 2014 against BJP candidate and present MP Jayshriben Patel.
