Alpesh Thakor summoned in year old case; statement taken

Ahmedabad: Congress MLA from Radhanpur, Alpesh Thakor has been summoned by Sola Police in Ahmedabad in connection with a year old case filed against him for demonstration near the Gujarat High Court. Thakor was summoned as he didn’t respond to a notice issued to him earlier. Thakor gave statement on Wednesday in this case of breaching the police commissioner’s notification and holding demonstration without police permission in July last year in which he and his supporters poured milk on roads. He was briefly detained by police and later released on July 6 last year after one such demonstration.
