18,000 slokas of 12 Skandhs of Shrimad Bhagwat Shridhari Tika translated in Gujarati by Ahmedabad based author

Ahmedabad: ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran’ Shridhari Tika is an ancient work written 600 years ago, and now for the first time this work is translated from its original in any other language. 18,000 shlokas and 12 skandhs of Shreemad Bhagwat Puran along with Sanskrit scholar Shridhar Maharaj’s commentary will now be available in Gujarati language in a set of five volumes; of approximately 1000 pages each and hence totally around 5000 pages.

These volumes are published by GeetaPress, Gorakhpur. The translations are done by Ahmedabad based scholar and author Vaidehi Parthivkumar Adhyaru. These volumes will be dedicated to the people by Swami Viditmanandjee on 18th October at J B Auditorium, AMA, Ahmedabad. Ex. Vice Chancellor Of Gujarat University Shri Naresh Ved will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. These volumes will be donated to 25 prime libraries across Gujarat by H K Adhyaru Charitable Trust.

Vaidehi Parthivkumar Adhyaru was working on this translation project from last 18 years. She worked hard with an aim to preserve and propagate this religious literature. She has presented the complex meaning of shlokas in the simplest words and format. Her hardwork will help many research students and scholars, keen readers and Sanskrit lovers as they will be able to understand the subject thoroughly following the translated version.
