Tana Riri festival 2018 to be held on 17-18 November at Vadnagar; Asha Bhosle to be awarded

Mahesana: The Government of Gujarat will hold two-day Tana Riri festival on 17-18 November at Vadnagar at 7.30 pm. The festival was initiated by son of soil Narendra Modi as Chief Minister of Gujarat in memory of Tana and Riri, two sisters from Nagar community.

Tana Riri festival os celebrated ever year during 17-18 November. On this occasion, Tana Riri Sanman award for year 2017 and 2018 will also be presented. The award include Rs 5 lakh cash, shawl and tamra patra. The award was constituted in year 2010.

On 17th November, on the first day of Tana Riri festival, Kalaguru Maheshwari Nagrajan, Saptak School of Music Ahmedabad, Piyuben Sarkhel, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Salil Bhatt, Himanshu Maheta, Sayli Talvalkar will present Bharat Nattayam, Tabla, vocal, Mohanveena, Satvikveena performances. On the second day, Padma Shri Asha Bhosle, Padma Bhushan Dr. Smt N.Rajam and Vidushi Rupande Shah will be felicitated.

On the second day, Gajanan Saluke will present Shehnai performance. Vocal singer Dr. Dhari Panchamda will break record of singing 21 Raag in just 05 minutes. Parma Bhushan Dr. Smt N.Rajam, Sadhna Sargam, Rishikesh Senunda Majmudar will present violin, vocal and flute music.
