Ahmedabad: In a shocking incident of bus accident within the State govt arm Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation(GSRTC) bus station in Navsari, three people lost their life on Monday evening.

The incident took place right in the bus station. As per the CCTV footage of this incident, three people died after being run over by a state transport bus, the brakes of which had reportedly failed.

At least one person was injured in this incident.The driver and the conductor are absconding.

More details: Driver Pravin Dhandhal who escaped the place soon after accident was recruited on 18th of this month. He was a new driver and had completed hardly a week on job. Family members of victims allege that it was GSRTC staff that helped Pravin to escape the place as he was probably drunk. Police has booked Dhandhal under the charge of culpable homicide. Among those dead are 57-year old Bhadraben Dipakbhai Patel, 35-year old Varshaben Halpati and 45-year old Kanaiyalal Vekariya. One injured is identified as 39-year old Monika Niteshbhai Patel.
